Core & Pelvic Physical Therapy

At Conway Regional Core & Pelvic Physical Therapy, we empower patients through pelvic health physical therapy (also known as pelvic floor physical therapy) and pregnancy/postpartum rehabilitation. Our clinic provides a quiet, calm environment for one-on-one sessions with a licensed physical therapist. One therapist is assigned to work with you, ensuring consistent and more effective care.

Pelvic Health

In our pelvic health program, we help women, men, and children to overcome bladder, bowel, and pelvic pain conditions. Our licensed physical therapists have each been formally educated to evaluate patients who have different types of pelvic health (or pelvic floor) challenges. Based on your evaluation, treatment tools used during your individualized sessions may include pelvic muscle biofeedback, rectal balloon training, and dry needling.

Pregnancy and Postpartum

We also help patients get relief with many pregnancy-and postpartum-related concerns. Research tells us that many conditions women are told are "normal" or "will go away after pregnancy" can actually be addressed with therapy (and often do not just go away on their own). Our licensed physical therapists have received formal education to safely address a pregnant or postpartum patient's needs.

What to Expect

At your first visit, your therapist will spend time talking with you about your condition and will ask how your condition started or changed over time, what has helped, and what has not helped. Your concerns and goals for improvement will be discussed, as they are the most important focus for developing your treatment plan. Your therapist will then explain the examination thoroughly, giving you an opportunity to ask questions. After your examination, your therapist will then discuss your findings thoroughly, as well as what the treatment plan will involve. At the first and following visits, your therapist will spend one-on-one time to address your needs, progress, and any home care instructions. Our goal is to empower you to gain control over or to resolve your condition.

Pelvic physical therapy is covered by most insurance providers and plans.
